Entering a Contest
Two types of contests are available to enter at Where2Go. Local contests, which are held and administrated by our system, and External contests that are held at other web sites.
Local Contests
Locate the "Enter To Win" box in the upper right hand portion of the contest detail page, enter your email address in the field provided and click "Go".
Check "Remember My Email Address" if you would like your web browser to automatically enter your email address in this field for other Where2Go contests. (This functionality requires cookies to be enabled in your browser preferences)
If this is the first time you have entered a Where2Go contest with this email address, you will be required to register before continuing. Once registered, you can quickly and easily enter yourself in other Where2Go contests simply by entering your email address.
External Contests
Locate the "Enter To Win" box in the upper right hand portion the contest detail page and click the "Click Here To Enter This Contest" link. This will take you directly to the web site holding the contest. If you have any questions on External Contests, talk to the contest holder, not to us. We have no control over their contest.
Holding Your Own Contests
There are 2 types of contests that can be listed at Where2Go. Local contests, which are hosted and administrated by our system, and External contests, which are held at other web sites. See Submitting Contests at Other Sites below for more information on external contests. To host a contest at Where2Go, you must first have a business web site listed with us. Click here for more information on submitting your site.
Submitting a Contest
To submit a contest, first login using your site's URL and password. Upon logging in you will get a summary screen with your listing data and all contests that have been submitted by you, if any. Click the "Submit a New Contest Link" to get the New Contest Submission Form. Enter the information for your contest according to the instructions provided. After your contest is submitted, it will be processed and you will receive notification via email including your Contest's URL.
Administrating Your Contests
At any time, you can login using your site's URL and password and access your contest data for administration purposes. You may edit the content of any contest as long as it has not yet started. Once a contest has begun, no modifications will be permitted. A complete list of contest entries is also available, along with the selected winners if the contest has ended. For privacy purposes, only the email addresses of winning entrants are provided to contest holders.
Submitting Contests Held at Other Sites
In addition to hosting your contest at Where2Go, you can also submit contests held on other sites. All you need to do is fill out the External Contest Listing Form, following the instructions provided. When complete, the contest information will be processed and you will receive an email notification with your listing information.
